Meet Our Physicians


Ashok Gupta, MD; FACP; D, ABSM is board certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University and is an active fellow of the American College of Physicians, and an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is in the clinical practice in the specialty of Internal Medicine, Preventative Cardiology and Sleep Medicine. Dr Gupta serves as the Medical Director for Life Care Sleep & Health Center Lansing, Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center, and Carson City Hospital Sleep Center.



Dr. Satya B. Chaparala, M.D., FCCP, D, ABSM is the Medical Director of Life Care Sleep & Health Center’s locations in Jackson, Kalamazoo, and at Oaklawn Hospital Sleep Center. Dr Chaparala attended medical school at Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India.  His post graduate training was residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL and a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cook County.   

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.  He is also a member of several professional societies such as: Calhoun County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, American Medical Association, American College of Chest Physicians, American Society of Critical Care Medicine, Diplomat-American Academy of Sleep Medicine

David A. Walker, D.O. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Dr. Walker earned his doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Kansas City college of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Walker's post-graduate education includes Internal Medicine in St. Louis MO., and Harrisburg, PA., and a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan. His sleep medicine training was done at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan, with additional course study at Stanford University in California. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Disorders Medicine. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Chest Physicians and American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr Walker is one of our interpreting physicians for Life Care Sleep & Health Center, Traverse City.

Dr N. Craig Boss, M.D., D, ABSM
completed his undergraduate education at Hope College before completing Medical School at Michigan State University in1990; after finishing his internship and residency at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg North Carolina. Dr Boss completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr Boss maintains the following professional certifications: D, ABSM, Dr Boss serves as the Medical Director of Life Care Sleep & Health Center, Traverse City as well as the medical Director of Cheboygan Memorial Hospital Sleep Center.
